Precepts

THE PRECEPTS OF THE WORK are laid out by Jesus in Matthew 22:37-40, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, you shall love your neighbor as yourself."

So the precepts are:

  1. LOVE GOD with all our heart and mind and soul . . . with all our being.
  2. LOVE PEOPLE beginning with ourselves, then those closest to us, and then those further and further out . . . from our most intimate to the most remote.
  3. HELP AND ENCOURAGE OTHERS to love God and love and serve people.

IN LIVING OUT THESE PRECEPTS the men and women who are closely associated with this work will:

  1. CONCENTRATE, with a few others, on strengthening our core beliefs and values based on the life and teachings of Jesus. Build a small fellowship community around us.
  2. ORGANIZE and encourage small groups of people of influence in communities and cities all over the world. Encourage good-hearted people to true servant-leadership in their spheres of influence or domains.
  3. REACH out to others to develop and maintain an informal association of responsible people who are seeking a better way of living. Promote for home, community, nation, and world, a leadership that works for the highest good for all people.
  4. EMBRACE other works and join with other groups or individuals who love God and are committed to compassionate service, in order to see a spiritual awakening throughout the world.
